Prerequisites: 16 credits in psychology, including PSY 312, a 2.00 cumulative and 2.50 major GPA and permission of the department.

Individualized study and work in a cooperating laboratory or professional setting. Provides an opportunity to work with professionals in the field and to participate in research or other activities. Site approval and components of each student's internship must be approved by the department. Grading is on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis.
Students completing the internship to fulfill the capstone requirement must present their capstone experience as a poster at a professional conference, department event, or college-wide event. As part of the capstone requirement, students must also complete the required ETS Major Field Test in Psychology. This is normally accomplished in the semester in which the capstone is completed.
