HW 101 Stress and Anxiety Management

Prerequisite: Completion of English Composition core or permission of instructor
Learning to harness one’s focus on a day-to-day basis to improve one’s quality of life and life experiences demonstrates the great power of the mind. Through readings, lectures and exercises, students will explore healthy ways to promote personal well-being and practical tools to alleviate stress and anxiety, gain clarity, navigate life changes, and become successful according to their identified goals. Students will learn to create healthy habits and productive practices, take ownership of personal/academic challenges and their self-care routines, and engage in consistent self-reflection to gain the awareness to achieve personal successes. Students will engage in interactive exercises and with guest speakers to hone their communication skills and facilitate self-acceptance.
