The art education concentration develops broad-based knowledge and skills in the studio arts, including design, drawing, painting, photography, ceramics and printmaking, as well as in art history. Courses in art history provide students with a solid grounding in the history and cultural contexts of the visual arts. An internship (i.e., a student teaching semester) will culminate teacher preparation.
