ART 201 Exploring Art and Visual Culture

This course explores the significance of art and visual culture in shaping our understanding of the world. In particular it examines how images, media, and visual practices influence society, identity, and power dynamics. Through the analysis of a wide range of images, including painting, architecture, photography, film, advertisements, video games, and digital media, students will become equipped with the tools necessary to critically interpret our increasing visual world.
